Hello Guys, we are Giantway, Sanding machine manufacturer, sanding solution supplier. Many customers are interested in how to do sanding job for PET panels, today, I would like to share our experience with you.
PET panels have excellent wear resistance and stability, and they are widely favored because it can make skin feeling or high light effects. How to do the sanding job for PET panels? Here we must mention the melamine board, because the base panels of PET are mostly melamine boards. So we need to do very well sanding job on melamine panels firstly, then we can stick the PET layer well.
There are two challenges on melamine panels sanding, no. 1, nearly all melamine panels are shape transformed, because in the melamine panel making process, the panels will be hot pressed. Therefore, the sander must be able to sand the transformed panels and ensure the entire surface is sanded evenly. No. 2, the layer thickness of the melamine is below 0.1mm, requires no over sand, no less sand. Only in this way, the PET can be smooth and delicate after stick.
How to meet the challenges? First, the sanding roller should be soft rubber roller, and the rubber layer should be thick enough, and the diameter of the roller should reach 320mm or above, so as to compensate the bending deformation of the panel to achieve uniform sanding. Second, the feeding table machining should be fine, lifting should be stable, as far as possible to reduce the cumulative tolerance transferred to the panels. Third, the press system of the machine should be strong and precise, and it should have a corrective effect on the bending panels.
According to the sanding points above, our recommend model is SGJ1300R-RB fine sander. This sander has rubber roller diameter 320mm, abrasive belt perimeter 2620mm. And the lifting adopts ball screw structure, lifting tolerance 0.01mm. The main motors are inverter motors. The machine has the advantages of high precision and big thickness compensation. It is preferred model of melamine board sanding or primer sanding.
