Hello, friends. We are Giantway, a professional sanding machine manufacturer and sanding solution supplier. I am Mr. Ren, the sales manager for international business.
Today, I would like to give you an overview of our upgraded planer sander. A planer sander is a woodworking machine designed for both cutting and sanding. It is especially suitable for heavy calibration of glued panels, solid wood panels, or bamboo panels, where more than 2 mm of material needs to be removed while still achieving fine sanding up to grit 180 in a single pass.
This planer sander is designed with a fixed working table, which means the pass line remains constant while all working units move up or down. This structure is ideal for production lines and is commonly connected with a bottom planer sander. Such a planer sanding line can significantly improve production efficiency.
The machine is equipped with three working units. The first working unit is a planer knife head, mainly used for cutting, capable of removing up to 2 mm of material in one pass. This planer head can be easily stopped or lifted through the touch screen, allowing the operator to use the sanding units only when needed. In front of the planer head, there is a complete safety and press system, including anti-kickback fingers, segmented press shoes, and double press rollers. The segmented press shoes apply even pressure across the panel width. After the planer head and before the second working unit, a solid press shoe is installed to prevent sniping or dipping at the leading and trailing edges of the panels.
The second working unit is a steel calibrating roller, complete with a pneumatic lifting system, oscillation system, safety system, and dust collection system. This knob is used to adjust belt tension pressure, while the hand wheel allows manual adjustment of the roller position. The indicator needle shows whether the roller is in the upper or lower position. The automatic lifting system helps avoid over-sanding at panel edges.
The third working unit is a combination head, equipped with a rubber sanding roller and a sanding pad. The rubber roller is also fitted with an automatic lifting system and manual adjustment function. The meter displays the sanding pad position, and rotating it allows precise up or down adjustment of the sanding pad.
At the rear of the machine is the cleaning system, where a cleaning brush is installed inside the cover to remove sanding dust from the panels after processing.
The control panel features a touch screen interface, allowing operators to switch each working unit on or off and set the desired feeding speed easily and efficiently.
